Preview and Woooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I have to lead with THE PHILLIES WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I couldn’t be more excited for the Phillies and for the city. If I could I’d totally be at that parade on Friday photographing away. Hmmm…I think I might still try.

Also, I just wanted to share this little teaser. Last Friday, we traveled up to Long Island to shoot the beautiful and touching wedding of Maria and Shelly. I am so incredibly happy and grateful that I got the chance to be a part of their day. Here is just a little taste. No detail was missed and there is much, much more to come.

I know I’ve been all previews for a while, but soon I’ll be doing full wedding/portrait posts. WOO! Who would have thought the day would come?

YAY PHILLIES!

Preview and the weekend

One of the things I like best about being a photographer is having the opportunity to photograph lots of different kinds of sessions. On Saturday I had a family session in the morning and an engagement session in the afternoon. I have decided that there is no better way to spend a fall day. :-)

The family session preview above is from the end of our session when the kids (especially the little guy) had totally maxed out. I would like to mandate that cookies be available to kids at all of my sessions because when cookies are around, tears are not. :-) Lots more to share from this one and I can’t wait. Too much cuteness!

The engagement session was equally wonderful. Alex and Micheal were perfect models with the fall backdrop. It was just gorgeous. Can’t wait to share more from this one either!

In addition to all the photo goodness, I feel like I had a really productive weekend around the house. We just got a lot of little stuff that we’ve been meaning to do, done. Then today, Jason and I spent a little time in Wissahickon Park. It was a bit cold, but fun anyway. I brought my camera but didn’t shoot too much. I love the way this tree had twisted on itself and fallen over.

I also like this one of Jason walking. I love this time of year! I just wish it didn’t lead to winter! :-(

I hope you all enjoyed the fall weather too!

A Chain Letter

Soooo…I’ve been tagged by Lauri of Lalee Photography to do this chain letter/questionnaire sort of thing. I’ve never been tagged before, so I’ll give it a go.

Eh hm…

4 Things I Did Today:
1. Got a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks
2. Went to my Doctor to get my TB test checked out (no TB…woo!)
3. Fed Mac and gave him his antibiotic
4. Backed up photos

4 Things On My To Do List:
1. Live in NYC
2. travel, travel, travel (anywhere)
3. Paint many rooms in our house and hang photos/art
4. Adopt two kittens. ;-)

4 of my Guiltiest Pleasures:
1. Nacho chips and THIS cheese sauce. Mmmmm…
2. While you Were Sleeping. I love this movie.
3. Hulu. My mind is not satisfied to edit photos with no company, so Hulu is my company.
4. Homemade mashed potatoes and corn. When I lived alone I sometimes had just this for dinner and I’m having it tonight! SWEET!

4 Random Facts About Me:
1. I can speak Spanish…reasonably well, although it’s been a while.
2. I can name every US President in the order that they served. :-)
3. I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia for a semester in college.
4. When I was in elementary school, I won a contest that made me an honorary clown for one night in the circus. It was a clown costume contest (duh) and my grandmother made the costume.

(I wish I had pictures from my big clown win, but alas I do not. So this photo (which I didn’t take btw) from Australia will have to suffice. Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road. Pretty.)

A Wonderful Change

For a long time, Mac has struggled with an unfortunate and embarrassing problem. Although he has not let it stand in the way of being a great dog, I think it has had a bit of an impact on his ego.

Mac had HORRIBLE breath. He has had it since I got him a few years ago, and whoever Mac met, it was always the first thing they noticed about him. No one wanted his kisses and no one wanted him breathing near their face and to be honest, no one even wanted him sitting within a 10 foot radius, because it was just THAT offensive. That is…until today. Today Mac went to the vet and went under anesthesia and had his teeth cleaned. He also had to have some pulled, but he’s doing great and I know he’s going to feel so much better in a few days (I’m judging based on how I felt after wisdom teeth pulled. I think that’s fair)! I haven’t gotten any really good whiffs yet, but from what I can tell, his bad breath is cured!

Oh, and he got a new haircut on Saturday, which is when I took these photos. So he’s practically a new dog!

Also, um, is anyone else excited about the Phillies???? I love when a Philadelphia team is doing well and everyone is all excited about it. I do like sports in general, but I like them especially a lot when the teams I like are winning. Who doesn’t? So…to note my support…
