what to expect

No two families are alike and likewise, every session that I shoot is a unique experience. In the weeks leading up to your session, we'll discuss all the details that will make it memorable and fun. I want to capture photos for you that don't just remind you of how your family looks right now, but also how it feels to be in this moment. In ten years, I want your photos to remind you of how it felt to snuggle your newborn, giggle with your toddler, or play with your kids. Let's plan a picnic in your favorite local park, play in the leaves in your front yard or enjoy a leisurely saturday at home, making pancakes and playing board games. Let's make memories that will last a lifetime.

family sessions

We will work together to plan a session that captures what you love about your family. We can start out in your home, at a local park or somewhere that is special to you. We'll talk about what your family loves doing together and what might make for memorable and unique portraits. I don't set specific time limits, but you can expect a typical family session to last between an hour or two. You can view my family and children portfolio here.

maternity & newborn sessions

Maternity sessions, like family sessions, can be photographed at any location that fits your family. They are usually scheduled some time between 28 and 34 weeks. View my maternity portfolio here.

Newborn sessions are almost always done in your home within the first two weeks of your baby's life. I would recommend contacting me in anticipation of the birth to secure a tentative date on my calendar for your session. I never have set time limits, however you can anticipate a newborn session to take between two and three hours. We will take things at a very relaxed pace and give you plenty of time for any breaks your little one might need. If your baby is older than two weeks, we can still schedule a session, but to get those traditional neworn photos of your sleepy little baby, I recommend scheduling as close to that time frame as possible. Birth Photography

I am always honored when a couple chooses to have me in the delivery room for the birth of a child. Having had the births of both of my daughters documented, I can attest to the fact that there are no images that you will treasure more and no experience that is more worthy of being preserved in photographs. If you think you may be interested in birth photography, you can take a look at these samples from some of the previous births that I have documented and then contact me to schedule a time when we can talk in person. Due to the nature of birth photography, all deliveries must be taking place at a location within 20 miles of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

Fusion Films

As a mother of two little girls, I already forget what life was like three months ago, let alone three years ago when Florence, my oldest was a tiny baby. Her little coos, her sweet yawns, her chubby toes—and now her adorable toddler voice—I want to preserve all of it. There are just some things that cannot be captured in photographs alone. Fusion films offers the perfect solution—an inspired snippet of sound, video, and still photos—all of it real life, happening in the moment. View the most recent fusion films here.

frequently asked questions

Where will our shoot take place? - I want to find the perfect location for you and your family so that your personalities shine. Where we start out and end up is all part of the planning process. I am based out of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania but am willing to travel.

How long will our session be? - I don't set time limits on my sessions. It's more about capturing the right moments than watching a clock. Typically, family sessions will take between one and two hours and newborn sessions will be between two and three.

What should we wear? - Dress up, dress down, there is no right answer. It's all about what makes you all feel the most comfortable and at ease. Color is great in photographs and I encourage colorful outfits if that feels right for your family. The only thing I would discourage is any clothing with text or characters, as they can distract from the more important subjects, you!

What time of day should my session be? If you have your heart set on an outdoor session, then I would strongly recommend scheduling as close to sunrise or sunset as possible for the most beautiful light. If you would like the session to take place in your home, there is a great deal more flexibility.

How much should I expect to spend? All sessions are all inclusive and start at $600. Each session includes pre-planning, the session itself, a fully edited gallery of the best photos from your session, and digital downloads of all high resolution photos in your gallery.  Add ons include albums, prints and fusion films.
